How it began.
I found my love for travel around 3 years ago after I went on my first ever solo trip to Gran Canaria in September 2022. As I made my way to the airport I was anxious and didn’t really know what to expect being on my own abroad for a whole week! As soon as I arrived at the airport I sat down with a glass of bubbles and already felt immensely proud of myself for stepping so far out of my comfort zone.
When I arrived, I unpacked and prepared myself for a week of undisturbed sunbathing. It was bliss, I laid by the pool all day listening to my music and reading books, without a care in the world. One of the days I spontaneously took myself out for a boat trip and randomly decided to go Parasailing, which is something that I never would have done a few months beforehand. With the wind in my hair and the deafening silence as I floated about above the sea, I realised I had found something I truly love.. Travelling! Since then I have been to more than 15 different countries and aim to have a trip planned every month of the year.
Day to day, I manage complex children’s services in hospitals in London, providing operational management and leadership to teams across the hospital. I have 15 years’ experience in the NHS and feel honoured to contribute to children’s healthcare. Although I love my day job, my travel addiction required more money, not to mention the ever rising cost of living in the United Kingdom.
Like magic, I was approached by a member of the ‘She Travels Tribe’, who offered me an amazing opportunity to purchase a travel franchise and join the travel industry and build a team of my own.
As an Independent Travel Agent:
I have access to almost 100 different internationally known brands in the travel industry.
I have expert knowledge on lots of different destinations, that I’ve built up through consistent travel, education and through past experience in the travel industry. Importantly, I am ABTA registered and ATOL protected.
Travel is something that lights a fire within me, I feel at my most happiest when I am travelling and want to help empower people to do the same.
